Elimbah Sports Ground
09:00 – 14:00
Updated maps  https://maps.app.goo.gl/Rd9t4oWzUE9LiofM7   IT'S TIME FOR ONE OF OUR BIGGEST EVENTS OF THE YEAR! Sunday the 16th of July is the date for the Club's annual Mid Year Cruise, and this year we're heading up north to the Sunshine Coast region. This is a great opportunity to meet many members of the club, take photos and have a great day out! Starting at Elimbah Sports Ground (look out fore the QLD86BRZ flag!), we'll make our way through Beerwah, Bellthorpe and Wootha until the midway stop and regroup at Witta. From there the second leg of the journey goes through Kennilworth, Mapleton and Balmoral Ridge ending at Skippy Park at Landsborough for lunch courtesy of the club president Raff! Google Maps link can be found here! General Notes for the day  This is a CRUISE not a Rally, there are no prizes for getting to the venue first. All attendees should adhere to all road rules and obey all signs, speed limits and drive to the conditions.  Please be respectful when leaving our starting and end points, your behaviour reflects on us as a Club. Some of the roads on our cruise are winding and fun to drive, but use common sense and stay safe. Take it easy and keep a safe following distance. Maintaining a good following distance also allows for more flowing traffic through the winding sections of road. Please also note that some sections of road may have potholes or roadworks, so drive accordingly. This is a decently long route (approx. 160km) so those running E85 are advised to fill up to full before the trip. The closest E85 is at United Caboolture. Merch Club merch will be available for pickup or purchase at the start and end of the cruise! Check them out below! We will have some merchandise on hand but in order to avoid disappointment we recommend you preorder your merch for pickup at the event! Check out the rest of the merchandise we have on offer below: https://qld86brz.com/public/shop/products It's looking like a great day out, so we'll see you there!!!

Queensland Raceway Weekend Sprint & ICC Consistency Sprint - 13 May 2023
Queensland Raceway
11:00 – 17:00
Welcome to the second private grid sprints session hosted by the QLD 86 BRZ Car Club for 2023. In addition to being a regular QLD 86 BRZ Car Club Private Grid, we are also hosting the ‘Consistency Sprint’ round of the ICC (Inter-Club Challenge Queensland) series. ICC Consistency Sprints Details Unlike regular Sprints where you are aiming to set the fastest lap time, ‘Consistency Sprints’ are about setting the most consistent laps times across the afternoon. As this is being hosted as part of a regular Queensland Raceway Sprints afternoon, the format will consist of 2 sessions on the Sprint layout followed by 2 sessions on the Clubman layout. Each session will consist of a minimum of 5 hot laps. Scoring for the ICC Consistency Sprint event will be based on the time difference between your 3 most consistent/closest lap times from any one session on the Sprint layout plus the time difference between your 3 most consistent/closest lap times from any one session on the Clubman layout. These times differences will be added together and whoever has lowest time will be declared the winner. Points will be allocated according to the 2023 ICC guidelines and will count towards the overall 2023 ICC Series. Subject to numbers, we are expecting to run multiple grids. To ensure you can be allocated to the correct grid, as part of the sign-up process please: Indicate if you wish to be included in scoring process for the ICC Consistency Sprint round or intend to participate as a normal Sprints session Indicate what sort of lap times you expect to set for Sprint Layout and Clubman layout This is to ensure we can allocate you to the best gird and have each grid ordered with the fastest cars at the front and slowest cars at the back. This results in cars naturally spreading out over the 5 hot laps and reduces the amount of overtaking required during each session. If you don’t have an idea of what your lap times will be, please list if you have any experiencing driving on the track (eg Happy Laps) and we will do our best to allocate you to a suitable gird and position. Signup Process Register and pay for your tickets via the ‘Get Tickets’ button on this page: If you wish to participate in the QR General Practice session in the morning (which is separate to the ICC event) and the Sprints session in the afternoon you can select the General Practice and Sprints option ($249). Otherwise, just select the Sprints ($180) option. Complete the ‘Tickets Details’ page including contact information and vehicle details. Please note that a Motorsports Australia ‘Speed License’ is required to participate in QR Sprints and therefore in this event as well. If you don’t have one already, an annual license can be purchased for $135 (via https://motorsport.org.au/licence) or a day license can be purchased via the QR website for $25 (see details below). Enter your payment details to pay for the tickets via the QLD 86 BRZ Car Club website.   Register for the event via the QR Website: Select the ‘QLD 86 BRZ Car Club and ICC Sprints’ from the category drop down box. Enter the relevant details on the form Select any optional extras (noting the below) you wish to pay for such as a powered garage. Please note that anyone entering the ICC Consistency Sprint event will need to select the ‘MYLAPS Transponder Hire 13/05/2023 (+$30)’ option to ensure your laps can be timed (unless you already own one of these timers – these timers are grey and red – QR no longer use the green Westhold timers). If you don’t already have a Motorsports Australia Speed License and plan to just use a day license, select the ‘Motorsports Australia Day License 13/05/2023 (+$25)’ option. Click the ‘Pay $##.00 Now’ button. If you have selected the options of hiring a timer and purchasing a day license this should be $55.00. If the amount is $180 plus the extra items you have selected, please ensure you have selected the ‘QLD 86 BRZ Car Club and ICC Sprints’ Category option at the top of the form.
