This will be the club's first Sprints event for 2023. We have booked our own private grid which will be limited to those booking through the club. Due to the costs of hiring a private grid we will likely extend an invitation to members of other car clubs (with similarly paced cars) to ensure these events remain financially viable for the club to host. All of the normal benefits of a private grid will still apply, such as ensuring cars are ordered from fastest to slowest for each session and knowing that you are participating with likeminded people who respect each other and our time on the track. Pricing is identical to that of QR but has the benefits outlined above and not being grouped with cars from the general public.
Below is some information on how sprints works and the requirements, if you are keen to join us, please register and pay via our club site. Once registered you’ll need to add yourself to the event @ https://www.qldraceways.com.au/calendar#/calendar navigate to the event date in the calendar enter the Weekend Sprints event and choose 86/BRZ Club ONLY.
For those interested in entering the morning General Practice session we offer QR's discounted Super Sprint pricing.
****Super Sprinters you only have select this option on our site (we manage this with QR before the day)****
**Note: For first timers who have never done sprints before at Queensland Raceway, you will need to purchase a Motorsport Australia Speed License from https://motorsport.org.au/licence/introduction **
**Timer: Timers are available for hire for $30 directly from QR on the day with a CC hold form filled out (please don’t forget to return these on the day as timers cost $700 if you accidently take it home. Timers are not mandatory and if you wish there are many apps for your phone that you can use to time your laps. When paired with an external GPS unit this is extremely accurate. **
If you need any assistance or advice, please contact us at https://www.facebook.com/qld86brz/ or via email motorsport@qld86brz.com.
